DAY 2 – Riyadh visit (National Museum Park – Al Masmak Palace – Al Diriyah)

Meet your driver/ guide in the morning at the hotel lobby, transfer for full day visit in Riyadh, starting with National Museum Park, then Al Masmak Palace, back to your hotel for a break. Around 16:00 you will continue your visit to Al Diriyah.

Ushaiger hamlet, located around 180 kilometers northwest of Riyadh, is one of the oldest mud villages in the Najd region. The name “Ushaiger,” meaning “the little blonde,” is derived from the nearby red mountain. Buraidah, the capital of Qassim Province in Saudi Arabia, is gaining popularity as a tourist destination. Known as the “city of dates” for its premium date production and annual date festival, the city offers a mix of modern attractions and deep-rooted history. Surrounded by farms and orchards, Buraidah provides visitors with an authentic taste of country life. Among its highlights are museums that showcase the region’s cultural heritage and the Al Qassim Camel Market, the largest camel market in the world, offering a unique and immersive Saudi experience.

Hail, situated between Mount Shammer to the north and Mount Salma to the south, is recognized as the capital of the Arabian Desert. This region is steeped in legend and history, being the home of famous figures such as the Arabian poet Hatim Al Tai, whose generosity has been immortalized in stories like “A Thousand and One Nights,” also known as “Arabian Nights.”

The A’arif Fort, built on a hilltop summit and visible from nearly every part of Hail, is a historic rectangular fortress made of mud and clay, covering an area of 440 square meters. Strategically located in the center of the city, it was originally constructed for defense purposes and features watchtowers, residential quarters, a mosque, bathrooms, prayer rooms, restrooms, and storage warehouses. Qishlah Fort, located in the heart of Hail, was designated as a cultural site in 1995.
